When we have a passion for something, a change in circumstance can cause us to lose it all. That’s what has happened in Brilliant Minds season 1, episode 9.
Beethoven is known for the composer who was deaf. He didn’t start his life deaf. He lost his hearing as he aged, but he didn’t allow that from following his passion and his dream. The benefit was that he knew how sounds should have been heard, although you can hear a difference in his music from when he could hear to when he couldn’t.
Not everyone is able to keep going after they lose an ability. That’s the case in the new episode of Brilliant Minds. Dr. Wolf needs to get to the bottom of why an artist has gone colorblind.

Brilliant Minds has excelled at exploring living life on a patient’s terms when they need to adapt to new circumstances.
In Brilliant Minds Season 1 Episode 8, Dr. Wolf appealed to June Sullivan’s family to get them to adapt and accept that their mother had changed.
June Sullivan had spunk and energy at 80 years old. It’s a shame it was a side effect of the neurosyphilis. I’d love to be like at that age, too.
(Rafy/ NBC)
She was full of wisdom and counseled both Wolf and Ericka about their love lives. We saw many more flashbacks of an 18-year-old Oliver Wolf and his first crush, which explained his fear of relationships and the cold war with his mom.
Dr. Pierce had a patient who had a mysterious reason for seeing her.
June Sullivan is the Ideal Elderly Role Model

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead: World Beyond Season 2, Episode 4, “Family is a Four-Letter Word.”] Well, sisters Iris (Aliyah Royale) and Hope (Alexa Mansour) have a sweet reunion — but other than that, unfortunately, not a whole lot else happens on this episode of World Beyond. Tensions are high, of course, when Huck (Annet Mahendru) walks through the gates, especially given how she left things with Felix (Nico Tortorella), and because Will (Jelani Alladin) would have a huge target on his back if the Civic Republic Military knew he was alive. But while Felix does threaten to kill her “someday” — which is just vague enough to imply it probably won’t be Felix who does her in, if she dies — he does also stop a revenge-minded Percy (Ted Sutherland) from killing her, so Huck lives to fight another day. Steve Swisher/AMC While all of this is unfolding, Hope and Iris have a few teary conversations during ...

The Walking Dead: World Beyond Season 2 will feature the return of a long-gone character from The Walking Dead.
AMC announced today that The Walking Dead’s Pollyanna McIntosh has joined the cast of The Walking Dead: World Beyond’s ten-episode second season premiering October 3 at 10:00p.m. Et/9c on AMC.

Heck, this might mean we'll finally get some intel on what became of Rick.
Then again, the franchise might want to save those reveals for, you know, the trilogy of movies announced.

The Walking Dead’s second spinoff, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, promised…well, a world beyond the usual Twd storytelling possibilities.
In that regard, the AMC series about four precocious youths 10 years into the zombie post-apocalypse mostly delivered. Season 1 of the show, which premiered last October after a Covid delay, picked up in Nebraska at the Campus Colony of Omaha before heading out on a cross-country adventure. In the process, the show formally introduced the Civic Republic, and its military arm (the Crm) that seems set to become a major antagonist for The Walking Dead franchise for years to come.
Despite bringing exciting new antagonistic toys for The Walking Dead’s sandbox to play with, World Beyond is somewhat unusual compared to its companion series. While The Walking Dead is finally set to conclude with its 11th and final season beginning on Aug. 22 and first spinoff Fear the Walking Dead...

Just like 2020, there’s going to be a lot of the zombie apocalypse on the small screen this fall.
In a move reminiscent of last year’s Comic-Con@Home, The Walking Dead: World Beyond on Saturday unveiled the premiere date for its second and seemingly final season. The limited-series spinoff that follows the first generation raised in the post-apocalyptic world will return to AMC on October 3.
Along with that debut date, World Beyond during its virtual panel today rolled out a clip from the 10-episode second season of the Scott M. Gimple- and Matt Negrete-created show — and things have gotten bloody, to say the least:
EPs Gimple and Negrete were both on the pre-recorded World Beyond panel this afternoon, joined by cast members Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Nico Tortorella, Annet Mahendru, Julia Ormond, Jelani Alladin and Joe Holt.

Telling a trilogy backward through time objectively shouldn’t work. At the start of “Fear Street Part 2: 1978,” the middle installment in Leigh Janiak’s trio of century-spanning films based on the R.L. Stine book series, one character makes it fairly clear who will survive the tale she’s about to unspool. There’s no in media res trickery, no story-within-a-story retconning.
Yet, there’s a confidence and a streamlined approach to “1978” that makes for a richer experience in both part and whole than its predecessor “Fear Street Part 1: 1994.” The surprise isn’t that it deviates from the groundrules set out in the film before it, or even the scores of horror films from in and around the decade in which it’s set. It’s that when “Fear Street: 1978” is given the opportunity to fulfill the promises it’s made for itself, it does so unreservedly,...

Netflix’s “Fear Street” teaser stirred up buzz in May for two reasons: It revealed all three movies in the trilogy would roll out over three consecutive weeks in July, and it confirmed the movies would toughen up R.L. Stine’s PG-friendly books and make them R rated. Now comes the official trailer for the “Fear Street” trilogy, all installments of which are directed by Leigh Janiak.
Netflix’s official synopsis for the “Fear Street” trilogy reads: “In 1994, a group of teenagers discovers that the terrifying events that have haunted their town for generations may all be connected — and that they may be the next targets. Based on R.L. Stine’s best selling horror series, the trilogy follows the nightmare through Shadyside’s sinister history.”

From the very opening of The Walking Dead: World Beyond‘s ninth episode, “The Deepest Cut,” as Huck stares into the darkness while everyone sleeps, it’s clear she’s facing a choice between the people that she has come to know and love as friends in Felix and the kids, and her loyalty to the Crm, her mother, and the Crm’s idea of the greater good. The Walking Dead: World Beyond Episode 6
Perhaps I’m just projecting the character of Abraham onto the actor, but as a director, Michael Cudlitz seems to be able to have fun with his material, no matter how dark. Throughout “Shadow Puppets,” there are a lot of fun little touches and moments to lighten things up and serve as an effective tension break during some of the more nervous moments. Towards the end of the episode, as Iris is skulking into an abandoned department store, there are two back-to-back scares, one a fake-out involving a mannequin that’s really amusing, then a legitimate one where a walker, out of nowhere, thrusts a hand out of a gated area into the middle of a scene in which Iris and Percy are talking. NBC has opted not to renew its high school musical drama Rise for a second season. There were high hopes for the series, from former Friday Night Lights showrunner Jason Katims and Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller, as a potential spiritual companion to This Is Us as another emotional drama.
But Rise did not have the same impact. It got off to a modest start in ratings and never took off.
Written by Katims and starring Josh Radnor, Rise was inspired by the story of groundbreaking high school drama teacher Lou Volpe as chronicled in the book Drama High. From the opening frames of NBC’s new drama Rise — an idyllic panorama of all-American scenery set to lilting guitar — you start to feel that familiar rush: This is Jason Katims country. The Friday Night Lights and Parenthood creator’s distinctive imprint is all over Rise, from the shaky-cam cinematography to the off-the-cuff dialogue, and if you loved Katims’ past shows, you’ll find a lot to love here, too. Whether Rise can ultimately rise to the level of those two stellar achievements, though, is still a question mark.
