Gino Lambano was born in Walnut Creek, California and relocated to Southern California as a young adult to pursue a career as a Correctional Officer with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). During Gino's 16 year career with CDCR, Gino trained thousands of officers and Law Enforcement personnel in use of force, verbal de-escalation, physical, mechanical and chemical restraint techniques, weapon retention, high risk escort/transport, crowd control and defense tactics. He received certification as a Use of Force Master Trainer and received the highest recognition possible being classified as a Subject Matter Expert for the State of California in Use of Force policy, procedure and incident review. One of the highlights of Gino's career was receiving certification by the FBI in hostage negotiation and his assignment to a specialized tactical unit dealing with major incidents where he served as a tactical Squad Leader.
Throughout the years of his Peace Officer career, Gino's love for acting never dissipated as he would remember performing in plays as a young boy. In 2009 (while still a Correctional Officer), he returned to college to study acting in order to perfect his craft. This proved to be a major turning point in his life and in 2012 he separated from State service to pursue his career as an actor full time. Gino is quoted as saying, "...pursuing my career as an actor full time was the best decision I ever made. It hasn't been easy, but it is the most liberating feeling in the world to not be afraid to follow your dreams, step out and pursue what you truly love to do."
Shortly after separating from State service, Gino was introduced to the private security sector by a friend in the entertainment industry. In between auditions and producing film projects, Gino began working within the private security sector and serving as a personal safety "go to" for celebrities, professional athletes, entertainers, white collar professionals, politicians and dignitaries. Gino was consistently hired to manage, cover and provide close protection for some of the world's most high profile individuals, venues and events while working closely with clients to provide teams of agents to assist with their security needs.
In the latter part of 2019, while still pursuing his passion as an actor and continuing to produce, Gino began directing commercials and film/photography projects for companies, cities and agencies desiring to expand their online presence.
As an Actor, Producer and Director, Gino loves the creative process, opportunities to work behind and in front of the camera and the many creative artists that he has had the pleasure of working alongside. Although producing and directing has been a big part of Gino's career within the industry, his first passion will always be as that of an actor and his primary focus.
