Maruia is a French-Colombian actress with Tahitian origins, who speaks fluent English, French and Spanish. She appears in Netflix's seasons 1 and 2 of (Narcos (2015)), she premiered her second feature film in a leading role in Locarno 2016, (This Time Tomorrow (2016)), and she has worked in American productions like (The Belko Experiment (2016)) and Ken Sanzel's (Blunt Force Trauma (2015)). Before studying American acting methods, she studied physical theatre, dance and choreography in Paris and London. She also finished post-graduate studies in Cultural Management but has been devoted to her film career for the past few years. She has also starred in (The Crack (2012)), and in many short films including Tierra Caliente and La Vida Secreta de Isabel Goncourt, winners of several awards in festivals around the world.
