Akanksha Puri is an Indian actress and model who has worked in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada films.
Her father, R.K. Puri, is a retired assistant police commissioner, and her mother is an astrologer. She loved going to her village school on a horse cart and enjoyed her childhood days studying under a tree with a chalk and slate.
She was an active and energetic child and enjoyed participating in tennis and basketball competitions.
She completed her further studies at Carmel Convent School in Bhopal.
After finishing college, Puri started her career as an international cabin crew member at Kingfisher Airlines. She also was a part of several modelling assignments during this period.
Puri started her modelling career in 2010 when she endorsed brands like mCaffeine, Sunfeast Dark Fantasy, Naari collection, etc.
Puri debuted in the Tamil film industry with Alex Pandian (2013) and was a part of another Tamil movie Tihar (2014). She debuted in Malayalam movies with Praise the Lord (2014) and ventured into Kannada movies with the movie Lodde (2015).
In the same year, Puri was a part of Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander (2015) and Amar Akbar Anthony (2015). Puri also debuted in the Hindi film industry with Calendar Girls (2015), directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. She was also a part of the Tamil movie Action (2019).
