Megan first became interested in film, at the age of 8 years old. She started off by creating slideshows of videos and pictures she would take of her family. She would gather everyone together, so she could showcase the work she had done. Gradually, this lead to her creating short videos. Since then she has continued to grow her love of film-making by producing short films and writing.
While in High School, Megan founded the Ninjacorn Films workshop. This workshop gave kids an opportunity to learn how to create short films by teaching them about the production process. Her inspiration to create this workshop, came from her wanting to give other kids and teens that didn't have the opportunity or resources to use film as a storytelling medium, a chance to experience and create their own works of art.
In 2016, Megan became a fellow, for the Sundance Institute Native American Full Circle Fellowship.
