- Jamie Nelson fell in love with creating and embodying characters at a young age. In college he began auditioning for stage roles, quickly working his way from supporting into leading roles. He is now an Alaska-based acting veteran with decades of experience being a sincerely present and captivating performer. Jamie has numerous credits from successful projects in short and feature films, television, commercials, and stage. Films he has been part of have screened all over the world and won numerous awards. In his many years of collaborating on acting projects Jamie has established himself as a "an actor's actor" who creates authentic performances and is easy to work with.
In his stage career he is possibly best known for his six-year run as Bob Cratchit in Perseverance Theatre's A Christmas Carol and for his unforgettable character work in Clybourne Park. Of that production, theatre critic Mike Dunham writes, "... but the reason to go is to see Jamie Nelson in the key first act role of Russ. Nelson successfully conveys a man about to explode through short mutters, spending half of the act in center stage sitting or listlessly fidgeting on the couch. When he finally boils over it makes for intense and masterful theatre."
When not performing, Jamie treasures time with family and laughter with friends. He feels most alive in the Alaskan outdoors which he enjoys through running, biking, camping, yoga, and paddle-boarding.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Jamie Nelson
