Although he - being 6'9" - initially expected to mostly play villains, he is more frequently being cast as friendly humorous characters.

He sometimes still performs in productions of the local theatre association where he started acting 23 years ago.

His personal trainer has nicknamed him 'Thorminator'.

Starred as Big Davy in the Dutch production of Billy Elliot the Musical and was later asked by the English creative team to join the remaining 4 months of the UK-tour. His audition was a Skype session with the productions dialect coach to see if he could master the Geordie-accent needed for the show. He did.

However classically trained, he never appeared in an opera.

He saw The Phantom of the Opera in 1994 in the Circustheater in Scheveningen, the Netherlands which inspired him to go into singing and acting. 20 years later he starred in the same theatre in the Dutch production of Billy Elliot the Musical. After Billy Elliot, he moved to Germany to star in the German production of The Phantom of the Opera.

Is a fanatic photographer and sometimes asks co-workers to pose.

Has no acting or singing family members.
