Jack Needell is based in London. He found his way into filmmaking from an earlier interest in painting. After joining an Art Foundation course in 2010, he began experimenting with the moving image and has since developed a fascination for its expanding nature. Having studied various aspects of film production, Jack is returning to the root of it all... ART.
A first degree graduate from Kingston University with an award for Art Direction, Jack has begun to pursue a career in Production Design. He works freelance within Art Departments on adverts, corporates and music videos while occasionally taking on the Production Designer role for independent shorts and features.
Jack is also an artist whose short film The Gulf of Narcolepsy (2015) was nominated for Best Student Film at The London Short Film Festival.
