Oreo has released a web series that takes the sandwich cookie on gustatory adventures. In a series of Snack Hacks, renowned chefs teach viewers how to use Oreos for unusual culinary mash-ups. Snack Hacks features a few neat recipes that go far beyond the classic Oreo/milk combo. Eight short, silent videos give viewers the basic instructions for treats like Oreo freeze pops, Oreo popcorn, and Oreo tacos. Three more recent installments let profession chefs in on the fun: Nguyen Tran serves up an Oreo pudding, Michael Voltaggio concocts an Oreo-based shandy, and in my personally favorite, Roy Choi uses Golden Oreos as the breading for chicken cutlets. Snack Hacks does well to connect the Oreo to its fans on social media. The entire series is inspired by a single viral image, in which a resourceful eater showed how to use a fork to prevent your fingers from becoming littered with Oreo dust.

Robert Downey Jr has featured in the first full trailer for Jon Favreau's upcoming comedy Chef.

Scarlett Johansson and Dustin Hoffman also star in the project, which stars Favreau as a chef in a trendy Los Angeles restaurant who goes rogue after the owner demands a safe menu.

After a spat with a critic goes viral, Favreau's character decides to start a food truck and heads across La with his son and former co-worker (John Leguizamo).

Sofia Vergara, Oliver Platt, Bobby Cannavale, Amy Sedaris, Emjay Anthony and chef Roy Choi also star in the drama.

Jon Favreau also wrote and directed the film, which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival last month.

Chef opens in Us and UK cinemas on May 9.

Jon Favreau is out and about getting the oven hot for his upcoming indie film Chef, most recently tweeting a picture of he and Los Angeles chef Roy Choi. Favreau wrote that the meeting was research and training-based.

The comedy, which has the director also writing and starring, follows a man who decides to launch a food truck, after losing his job as a chef. Favreau will also be pairing up with former Iron Man franchise colleagues Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson. The film is expected to begin production on July 8 in Los Angeles.
