Russell Perkins grew up in the town of Steelville, Missouri. His
father, Bob, was a real estate broker and his grandfather, Homer, was
on the battleship USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor and ran a construction
supply store, Perkins Lumber Company. Russell attended Rolla Technical
Institute in Rolla, Missouri. He resides in Columbia, Missouri.
