Spencer has been presumed dead for around ten months now, but Nicholas has been extremely busy-he explains what’s happened.
General Hospital Spoilers – “Monsters” Filming, Then Offered “Grotesquerie”
Viewers may recall Nicholas intended to make his return once he completed filming the captivating tale of the Menendez brothers; yet, he has yet to do so.
During the production of the latter half of Season 2 of the Monsters anthology series, the illustrious creator Ryan Murphy extended an enticing offer to Chavez.
This was for a prominent role in Grotesquerie, a regular tv series which graces FX screens on Wednesdays at 10/9c; and the role could not be more different than in “Monsters”.

When General Hospital sent Spencer Cassadine to a watery grave in January 2024, it was expected that Nicholas Alexander Chavez would return to the role once he was done shooting Netflix’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. But you know what they say about the best-laid plans.
Chavez made a splash on General Hospital opposite Tabyana Ali as Trina.
While shooting the back half of Season 2 of the anthology series, creator Ryan Murphy offered Chavez a plum part in Grotesquerie (airing on FX Wednesdays at 10/9c). “It was an opportunity to play in a world that was very, very different from the Menendez brothers,...

With the momentum of stardom in her favor after Netflix’s Wednesday and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Jenna Ortega will surely take on more Hollywood projects following Season 2 of Wednesday, which is currently in production.
Before these two Tim Burton projects, Ortega had roles in several other Netflix films and a television show as well as separate feature films. She got her start in a Colgate toothpaste commercial and then a Disney Channel show that mirrored the aspect of her big family.
Some might recognize Ortega as the actress who portrayed the younger version of Jane Gloriana Villanueva (portrayed by Gina Rodriguez when she’s older) in the CW’s Jane the Virgin. She also appeared in Studio 666 a horror film in which the Foo Fighters move into a storied rock ‘n roll studio that starts to haunt their work. For the first time since his character was seemingly killed off on “General Hospital” earlier this year, actor Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer Cassadine) has officially confirmed his exit from the daytime drama series after posting a formal statement on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday.
“I’m so appreciative of the opportunity that ‘Gh’ gave me, and I wouldn’t be as busy as I am professionally if it weren’t for the talented producers, writers, directors and fellow actors,” began Chavez in his statement before calling attention to Frank Valentini, the show’s executive producer, where he called him a “mentor and friend.” Chavez also notes he and the show are keeping the door open for a potential return should the opportunity arise.
“Frank Valentini is a mentor and a friend, and we’ve had some pretty extensive conversations about my future on the show. While there are no current plans for me to return,...

Two actors who left General Hospital years ago are opening up about what led to their exits from the long-running soap opera series.
And it seems it has to do with the fans and the negativity that some of them bring to the fandom.
Nicolas Bechtel played Spencer Cassadine back in 2013 and then returned for a guest appearance in 2020. His role was recast a year later.
Ryan Paevey played the role of Nathan West from 2013 to 2018, when the actor decided to leave the show. The character was killed off.
So, what did they have to say about General Hospital and the fans?

It’s been a huge week in the land of soap operas, not only in front of the camera but behind the scenes, too. Time to look through some of the biggest daytime drama news stories from the past week.
General Hospital Spoilers – Two Major Days Comebacks
Hold on to your hats, Days Of Our Lives (Dool) fans, because there are two massive returns on the horizon. Soap veteran and Another World alum, Stephen Schnetzer will reprise his 1970s role on the show, returning as Steve Olson, Julie Williams’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) brother.
He didn’t offer too many details during his appearance on The Locher Room when he talked about his Dool return; however, it seems as if his comeback could be linked to the tribute the soap is planning for the late and great Bill Hayes (Doug Williams).
In addition, Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) also announced during...

Long-time General Hospital viewers will remember Nicolas Bechtel as a quick-witted, scene-stealing child when he played Spencer Cassadine from 2013 to 2020. But those same fans might not recognize Bechtel now! Bechtel joined the long-running soap when he was eight years old, playing the son of Nikolas Cassadine (played at the time by the late Tyler Christopher) and Courtney Matthews. He left the show in 2020, when he was 15, and was replaced by Nicholas Chavez when producers decided to age up the character. Now 19, Bechtel shared a new profile pic on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, March 11, and surprised many fans who best remembered him as a precocious little kid. “Can’t believe how grown up you are! Time freakin flies! Amazing picture! Hope you’re doing great,” wrote former General Hospital castmate Kristen Alderson. #NewProfilePic pic.twitter.com/FMcudQI6st — Nicolas J. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is a legacy character on General Hospital. As a member of the Cassadine family, his life has been filled with drama since his birth. Many actors have stepped into the role of the troubled young boy; let’s take a look at a few of them.

Spencer is the son of General Hospital couple Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) and Courtney Matthews (Alicia Leigh Willis). When Courtney became pregnant, she didn’t know if Nikolas or her ex-husband Jax Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) was the baby’s father. A paternity test revealed Jax was the father; however, unbeknownst to Courtney, Jax altered the results.

(This article contains copious spoilers for “Game Over,” the season finale of “American Horror Stories” which you can watch now on FX on Hulu)
The “AHS” universe is an unhinged place — that’s the appeal, in my opinion. But there’s being unhinged, and then there’s unhinged in a way that takes the show off the rails, and “AHS” certainly does stray into the latter territory more than we would like.
“American Horror Stories” has actually managed to avoid this problem for the most part — the anthology format helps with that a lot. But in the finale story, “Game Over,” that standard “AHS” problem rears its ugly head once more.
“Game Over,” which was written by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, is extremely meta, breaking the fourth wall by referencing “AHS” over and over again, and features several different twists. It actually makes some kind of sense up until the end.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the Season 1 finale of “American Horror Stories,” “Game Over,” streaming now on FX on Hulu.
The final episode of “American Horror Stories” Season 1 took viewers back to where the season (and the franchise) started — the Murder House — but in a very tongue-in-cheek way.
The episode started off focusing on two murder buffs who were self-proclaimed “huge ‘American Horror Story’ fans” — so, in the world of “American Horror Stories,” “American Horror Story” exists as a TV show. The couple met at Comic-Con where Dylan (Adam Hagenbuch) was dressed as Son of Bloody Face and Connie (Noah Cyrus) was dressed as Sister Jude, both from “Asylum.” Also, did you notice their names are Dylan and Connie, a la the first names of the actors who played Ben and Vivien Harmon, Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton, in Season 1 of “Horror Story”?

American Horror Stories kicked off at the Murder House...
And it will also end there.
Ryan Murphy confirmed the cast for American Horror Stories Season 1 Episode 7 -- the season finale -- on Tuesday, and this trip to the Murder House will include some familiar faces.
Dylan McDermott and Jamie Brewer are reprising their roles as Dr. Ben Harmon and Adelaide “Addie” Langdon, respectively.
This marks the first time Brewer has played the character since the freshman season.
McDermott played Ben back in an episode of AHS: Apocalypse in 2018, but still, it's nice to know some of these characters are coming back.
Part of the issue with the first two episodes of the series was that none of the Murder House ghosts made an appearance, rendering the episodes to be a bit too farfetched.
