Monika Gergelova

Monika Gergelova, born on June 10, 1983, in Slovakia (formerly Czechoslovakia), has always had a passion for movies. However, it was only after taking an acting course in North London (2009) that she became more interested in the production behind -the scenes, and financial aspects of filmmaking rather than acting.

Monika is a highly accomplished and respected executive film producer with a successful track record in the entertainment industry. Over the course of her 14-year career, she has produced more than 13 movies and 2 TV shows that are now streaming worldwide, establishing herself as a prominent figure in film production. Known for her creativity, business acumen, and ability to bring compelling stories to the screen, she has raised over £3 million in private equity for film financing and securing the distributions and casting for M and M Film Productions projects. In 2018, she created and co-founded the motion picture company M and M Film Productions in UK with producer Malcolm Winter. In her role as managing director, CEO and project content at the M and M Films Productions, Monika's excels in managing team under pressure, development, production, and fostering team collaboration.

Throughout her career, Monika has been involved in the production of numerous critically acclaimed and commercially successful films across various genres. Her talent for identifying promising directors, writers, and actors has resulted in creation of memorable cinematic experiences.

As an executive film producer, Monika has successfully coordinated UK and International creative co -productions and financial elements, ensuring the smooth execution of projects from start to finish.

Her strong leadership skills and collaborative approach have cultivated productive relationships with industry professionals, including studios, distributors, and talent agencies.

Monika's ability to assemble talented teams and create an environment that encourages artistic freedom and innovation has been key to the success of her all projects. Her most recent project involved co-directing the debut feature rom/com "Christmas at the holly day Inn" released 2023. She has also recently finished co-directed her second feature rom/com "3 Wishes for Christmas", set to be released winter 2024. Additionally, Monika has been involved in producing and co-directing documentary "Mythical Legends: My Bigfoot Life" with 15 years old Autistic Daniel, aiming to nature his passion for becoming a producer and director in the future. And her very own creation ideas, such as the sport documentary "Checkmate TV Show season I" and "Checkmate season II Queens vs Kings", along with the period drama feature of "Fear the Invisible Man", which has been distributed globally.

Beyond her role as a producer, Monika is dedicated to supporting emerging talent and advocating for inclusivity in the entertainment industry. She actively attends in major film festivals MIPCOMs, MIPTV, EFM, AFM. Supporting the next upcoming film making generation from Middlesex university being part of the judge community of the short films end of the year students 2022. She is a member of WFTV, BFI. In her spare time, Monika competes in chess tournaments and enjoys teaching children how to play chess.
