John Baierl
- Sound Department
John Duchateau Baierl was born and raised in New York City. The son of
Thomas and Martha Baierl, John was raised by his mother while Thomas
ran Baierl Enterprises, the family conglomerate founded in the late
nineteenth century. When John was eleven, he and his parents were held
up by an armed man after leaving the opera early. Thomas and Martha
were both shot and killed, leaving John the sole inheritor of their
empire. John spent the next ten years being raised by his family's
butler Clyde in Baierl Manor on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
However, after the trial and release of his parents' killer, John fled
the city and traveled the world in secret before being incarcerated in
a Nepali prison for theft. After countless competitive pick-up
basketball games in the prison yard, John mastered the game. After his
release from prison, John returned to New York where he runs the family
business by day and is the star forward of the New York Knicks by
night.
