Shelly Ro is a dynamic actress and producer originally from Tijuana, Mexico, based in Los Angeles. A graduate of the Joanne Baron D.W. Brown Conservatory (2017), she also holds a B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University and a Doctorate in Human Sexuality.
Shelly's talent shines as the lead in the upcoming Hulu film "All Of The Above" (2026), as well as Amazon's series "Strange Love" (2025). Her filmography includes "CARLY" (2023), "The Paradise Road" (2024), which earned her the Best Actress Award at the Bridgeport IFF, and "Slap Worthy", which earned her the Best Actress Award at the San Diego IFF. Her performance in "White Ink"(2022) won her Best Actress at the Myrtle Beach IFF, Outstanding Performance at the Best Actor Awards, and recognition as one of San Diego Magazine's "50 People to Watch."
As the Co-founder and CEO of Cuyo Productions, Shelly is passionate about championing diversity and inclusion in the film industry, creating space for women and queer creatives to tell their stories. She has produced and starred in several festival-acclaimed films and TV shows, showcasing her commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices.
Off-screen, Shelly loves dancing, solving puzzles, and savoring a perfectly crafted martini. Her ultimate dream is to play a Bond villain at 75 and fall in love on-screen with one of Guillermo Del Toro's legendary monsters.
