Wolf Pack will not be returning for a second season. Per Deadline, Paramount+ has cancelled the supernatural series starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. While never renewed officially for season two, those behind the series were actively working on scripts and had hoped to start filming next month.

Armani Jackson, Bella Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson, and Tyler Lawrence Gray also starred in the series, which premiered on the streaming service in January 2023. Created by Jeff Davis and based on the novels by Edo Van Belkom, Wolf Pack follows a pair of teens who see their lives changed when a wildfire near their home awakens a powerful supernatural creature.

Sarah Michelle Gellar’s long-awaited return to the small screen has been cut short.

Paramount+ has officially canceled Wolf Pack ten months after its freshman finale.

The series kicked off in January 2023 and picked up with a deadly fire ravaging California.

It triggered a series of supernatural events, and a group of teenagers came together under strange circumstances.

Gellar, best known for her work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, played an arson investigator named Kristin Ramsey.

Despite spending much of the freshman season against the group of werewolves at the show’s core, the now-series finale found fans being let in on a big secret:

Kristin was also a werewolf.

Paramount has decided to not move forward with a second season of “Wolf Pack,” Variety has confirmed.

Based on Edo Van Belkom’s book series and created by Jeff Davis, the show follows two teens whose lives are changed when a California wildfire awakens a supernatural creature. Season 1 aired in Jan 2023 alongside the “Teen Wolf” movie. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Rodrigo Santoro, Armani Jackson, Bella Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson and Tyler Lawrence Gray starred.

Sources say Paramount hoped the audience behind the series would have grown from Season 1 to Season 2, but due to the dual Hollywood strikes, the likelihood of that happening was cut short since production was stopped. Season 2 would’ve arrived roughly two years after Season 1 debuted.

Wolf Pack, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, will not return to Paramount+ for a second season.

Although the drama series never was officially renewed for Season 2, the team was actively working on it, with production having been slated to begin in February, sources close to production told Deadline. Series creator Jeff Davis told the cast about the cancellation this week.

It comes as Paramount+ continues cutting costs, which also includes mass layoffs. Bob Bakish addressed this in a memo to his team on Thursday that the company will continue to reduce its global workforce “to operate as a leaner company and spend less” after Deadline revealed over the weekend that the company was bracing for more staff cuts, thought to be in the hundreds including the programming teams.

After 26 years away from the supernatural monsters of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," Sarah Michelle Gellar is back in the pack with "Wolf Pack." The Paramount+ series, created by Jeff Davis ("Teen Wolf"), is based on the book of the same name by Edo van Belkom. When a fire causes animals to flee the forest, and some teens are injured, they discover that werewolves are real and living among them. Some of those attacked have become wolves as well. The series also stars Armani Jackson, Bella Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson, Tyler Lawrence Gray, and Rodrigo Santoro.

TV Fanatic scored an exclusive first look at Thursday's new episode of the supernatural drama.

After the end of Wolf Pack Season 1 Episode 2, the teenagers were rounded up by Kristin (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and her team because she was determined to get answers.

In the new clip, Luna (Chloe Rose Robertson), Harlan (Tyler Lawrence Grey), Everett (Armani Jackson), and Blake (Bella Shepard) are in a house, clearly trying to come to terms with the latest events in town.

However, things take a turn when the four realize something's amiss and that something -- or someone -- could be coming for them.

It's an intense scene showcasing the core four working together.

Just when it seems like they have a read on the situation, the door knocks.

Wolf Pack's most recent episode concluded with a big twist, changing the trajectory of the new Paramount+ drama.

At the end of Wolf Pack Season 1 Episode 2, Kristin (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and her team rounded up Everett (Armani Jackson), Blake (Bella Shepard), Luna (Chloe Rose Robertson), and Harlan (Tyler Lawrence Gray).

Paramount+ has spooked up two hits with debuts “Teen Wolf: The Movie” and “Wolf Pack,” both of which hail from MTV Entertainment Studios, creator Jeff Davis (who’s under a multi-year deal at the studio) and MGM.

The former — a film revival of the beloved 2011 young-adult supernatural series that reunites a majority of the cast, including stars Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin — broke the streamer’s record for the most-watched original move in the first day of its debut.

The latter, which stars and is executive produced by Sarah Michelle Gellar, marked the platform’s most-viewed YA show since the “iCarly” reboot, making it the No. 2 YA series premiere overall in its first 24 hours.

On paper, “Wolf Pack,” Paramount+’s newest supernatural teen drama, has it all. It’s a show with “Wolf” in the title, created by Jeff Davis, the same guy who created both “Criminal Minds” and the ridiculous and beloved TV show version of “Teen Wolf.” It’s got a diverse cast of hot 20-somethings playing teenagers who sometimes turn into wolves, and, most importantly, it stars supernatural teen drama icon Sarah Michelle Gellar. So it’s unfortunate that “Wolf Pack” doesn’t all come together, at least in the first two episodes made available for review.

The series centers on teens Everett (Armani Jackson) and Blake (Bella Shepard), two opposite teens who both get bitten by some mysterious wolf-like creature when their school bus is derailed by rapidly spreading wildfires. Everett ends up in the hospital with a nasty bite that seems to be quickly disappearing, while Blake rushes home...

Scream queen Sarah Michelle Gellar is back on the small screen, and we’re here for it! The lone wolf dies, but the pack survives. At least, that's some of the thinking in Paramount+'s new series, "Wolf Pack, from "Teen Wolf" producer Jeff Davis. The new series follows a group of teenagers in California whose lives are changed forever when a wildfire wakes up a mysterious creature in the forest. The full trailer for the series, released Jan. 12, is jam-packed with stunning action, some terrifying horror, and steamy kisses. Watch it ahead.

Though "Wolf Pack" comes from Davis and has similar subject matter to "Teen Wolf," it's not set in the same universe. Premise

The lives of two teenagers are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills. "Teen Wolf" creator Jeff Davis is back with another teen werewolf-centric adaptation, this time in the form of the Paramount+ series "Wolf Pack." The show is based on the book series of the same name by author Edo van Belkom, and will start off by adapting the first novel, also titled "Wolf Pack." When a local teen starts a wildfire, it ends up changing more lives than just their own. Arson investigator Kristin Ramsey (Buffy the Vampire Slayer herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar) is on the hunt, trying to figure out who started the fire and what it might have awakened in the forest. Along the way she will encounter -- and likely work with -- a group of teens who were changed by that night forever.

Despite loving werewolf stories, I never really got into the "Teen Wolf" TV show, probably because I haven't been a teen in well over a decade.

Wolf Pack might become one of the best supernatural series in years.

Paramount+ today revealed the official trailer and key art for the new series, and it looks like a lot of fun.

Wolf Pack is set to premiere Thursday, January 26, exclusively on the service in the U.S. and Canada.

Written and produced by Jeff Davis, the series will premiere the following day on Friday, January 27, on Paramount+ in the U.K., Australia, Latin America, and Brazil.

Just two weeks ahead of Wolf Pack‘s howly-anticipated debut (sorry), the streamer has finally released an official trailer. We’re talking nearly two full minutes of heart-pounding, eye color-changing, Sarah Michelle Gellar-ing goodness.

Jeff Davis, developer and executive producer of Teen Wolf, the MTV series inspired by the “awfully good” 1985 Michael J. Fox comedy, has returned to the wolf business in a major way. Not only is he bringing us Teen Wolf: The Movie, which is set to be released through the Paramount+ streaming service on January 26th, but he also has a new series called Wolf Pack, based on a series of novels written by Edo Van Belkom. Wolf Pack will also be making its Paramount Plus debut on January 26th, and a first look clip has arrived online to show us a scene that features stars Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Rodrigo Santoro (Westworld). Fans of Teen Wolf were given an almighty treat during Brazil's Comic Con Xperience (Ccxp) on Sunday.

Oh, and there was even a treat for potential fans of Wolf Pack, the new series from the Jeff Davis, the creator of Teen Wolf.

Both Teen Wolf and Wolf Pack are set to premiere Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 exclusively on the service in the U.S. and Canada.

The film, written and produced by Jeff Davis, will premiere the following day on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.K. and Australia.

In Latin America and Brazil, the film will be available early next year. Premiere dates for other Paramount+ international markets will be announced at a later date.

Paramount+ revealed the official trailer for its upcoming film “Teen Wolf: The Movie,” during Brazil’s Comic Con Experience (Ccxp).

The film, which was written and produced by Jeff Davis, is set to premiere on Jan. 26, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada.

“A full moon resizes in Beacon Hills, and with it, a terrifying evil has emerged,” reads a description of the movie via a press release. “The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), no longer a teenager yet still an alpha, can both gather new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.”

The “Teen Wolf” movie has a premiere date!

The anticipated film, which members of the original cast, will drop Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, it was announced Friday at New York Comic Con. It will be available on the streaming service the following day on Friday, Jan. 27 in the U.K., Latin America and Australia.

Release dates for other international territories will be announced later.

Paramount+’s two werewolf projects – Wolf Pack and Teen Wolf: The Movie – hosted back-to-back panels at the 2022 New York Comic Con. Both supernatural projects will debut on Paramount+ on January 26, 2023, but only one features the Chosen One herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star joined her fellow Wolf Pack series co-stars Rodrigo Santoro, Armani Jackson, Bella Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson, and Tyler Lawrence Gray, as well as Teen Wolf creator and Wolf Pack writer/executive producer Jeff Davis, for a lively half-hour discussion at Nycc.
