Wesley Cannon(I)

Wesley Cannon is a business owner turned producer and actor. His businesses, Hollywood History, deals in movie and television assets, while his production company, Wicked Monkey Pictures, helps to produce and create different genres of films. Throughout the years, his business has connected him with many well-known people in the film industry which paved his interests in producing and acting. While producing allows him to be a major contributor to films, acting allows him to express himself and showcase his talent in multiple ways, including doing his own stunts and creature acting.

Wesley was born and raised in a small town in Eastern North Carolina and still resides there currently. His mother, Rose Cannon, is a real estate business owner, and his father, Allen Cannon, is a small business owner, book author and general contractor. Wesley is the middle son of 3 boys and has always loved movies in general. As a child his parents designed and created haunted houses professionally, which fueled his passion for the horror genre. That experience also caused Wesley to truly love and appreciate the art, and amazing talent, of special effects makeup. More so, it became very evident that it also fueled his passion towards creature acting.

Like many, after 9/11; Wesley joined the military serving in the United States Army for 8 years, and one of them being a deployment in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a combat military police soldier. After the conclusion of his deployment he then went back overseas for another 6 years as a civilian contractor while also working with the Special Forces for a year in Baghdad. It was while he was overseas that his interest delved deeper into movies, and what would soon become a thriving business. Watching movies was his escape from everything going on in the war zone, hence paving the way to being a part of the film industry.

Once home, Wesley fulfilled a childhood dream and was dually sworn with two law enforcement agencies: A city police patrol Sergeant, as well as, serving on the Sheriff department's search and rescue dive team. He retired from both in 2020, giving him the time needed to focus on his goals in the film industry, along with spending time with his wife Jessica, their four dogs, and squirrel monkey named Obie.
