It's Halloween week on Strictly Come Dancing, with scary make-up and spooky props aplenty.

Len: "The problem is you're like an English rose and the paso is a cactus, sharp aggressive and spiky. It doesn't really suit your personality. I got the willies at one time when I thought you would use the wrong foot. It wasn't great, Kate - I wish it was."

Darcey: "You look the part – absolutely stunning. To help strengthen your performance use those beautiful eyes.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has warned that Peter Andre could be out of the competition soon if he doesn't start standing out more.

The 'Mysterious Girl' singer has consistently picked up high scores from the judges but Horwood warned that he hasn't got the "'It' factor", The Mirror reports.

"Sorry to say it, but Peter's becoming a bit of an also-ran in the competition," he said. "Technically he's very good, but he needs to stand out from the crowd more.

"I'd be worried if I were him. He's missing the 'It' factor - and I want to see him fly not fail."

Speaking to Woman, Horwood also commented on the rumours that Helen George is "bitchy" - something denied by her professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec.

"I haven't had much to do with Helen George backstage," Horwood said. "But she keeps herself to herself, so I can see...

Strictly Come Dancing pro Aljaz Skorjanec has dismissed reports that Helen George is the "bitchiest contestant ever".

The rumours, which emerged at the weekend, suggested that the Call the Midwife star had a "superior attitude" and was causing complaints with her behaviour.

But her professional partner Aljaz rubbished the gossip, writing in his blog for Ok! that the comments had upset Helen.

"I saw the reports about Helen, claiming that she's not very nice on the show, and she was a little thrown off by it," he said. "But we had a really good chat and she knows it's not true. She knows it's just a silly article in the press.

"Everyone that is a part of Strictly knows that. There's no reassurance needed, she's so nice to everyone and I just think it's crazy for someone to ever think that of such a kind and friendly woman."

Len: "Your hips certainly don't lie. A little bit long getting started but once you got into it… I thought you coped very well. I think it could have been better leg action, but I'm being pernickety."

Bruno: "That was warming up nicely. The samba has a carefree feel to it, but a couple of times there you got a little tangled and it kind of stopped it a little bit. The technique is actually very very hard. It was a bit on and off."

Hoorah! Strictly Come Dancing has returned to our screens for another few months of celebrities making fools out of themselves braving the dance world. The first six stars took to the platform tonight (September 25) and here are their performances, plus what the judges said:

Aljaz posted the news on Twitter, with a picture which appears to show the pair in a restaurant with a fantastic skyline view.

Davina McCall is one of the latest celebrities to sign up for Comic Relief's Danceathon.

The six-hour "dance frenzy" will be held on March 8 at Wembley Arena to raise money for Red Nose Day and McCall - a frequent Comic Relief collaborator - has now signed up to hit the floor.

The lineup for the Christmas special of Strictly Come Dancing has been announced.

The festive edition of the show will feature six returning celebrities from previous series performing a pantomime-inspired yuletide routine with professional dancers.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor is paired with Aljaz Skorjanec, while Lisa Riley and Robin Windsor will be dancing together.

Rachel Stevens has been coupled with Tristan MacManus. Meanwhile, Louis Smith is hitting the dance floor with Aliona Vilani.

Alison Hammond was the sixth celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing tonight (November 9), after the judges unanimously decided to send home the television personality.

Hammond and professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec competed against Caroline Flack and Pasha Kovalev in the dance-off, but do you think the right couple was eliminated from the competition?

Digital Spy readers previously agreed with the decision to send home Scott Mills in last week's result show (November 2).

73.49% of readers thought that Mills was right to leave, while 26.51% disagreed and believed the radio DJ should have stayed.

Digital Spy readers have voted Pixie Lott as the strongest dancer in Strictly Come Dancing Week 7.

Lott and her professional dance partner Trent Whiddon scored 19.22% of votes for their Foxtrot, which scored them 36 points on the night and placed them first on the leaderboard.

This is the first time DS readers have voted Lott as their favourite performer.

Last week's poll topper Frankie Bridge came in second with 14.88% of votes. Her 32-point scoring Samba with Kevin Clifton placed her third on the Strictly leaderboard.

Simon Webbe claimed third place with 11.40% of DS votes. On the night his Quickstep scored 33 points, which left him in second place on the leaderboard.

Caroline Flack's Waltz received 10.23% of reader support, putting her in fourth place in the poll. Her performance scored her 31 points on the night and landed her in joint fourth place.

EastEnders actor Jake Wood came in fifth with 9.58% of DS votes.

Cue Alison Hammond's wardrobe malfunction during last weekend's Strictly Come Dancing.

New footage shown on Wednesday night's (November 5) It Takes Two showed the hilarious moments that followed off camera, after her sleeve accidentally blinded dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec for a moment.

The gaffe occurred as the pair performed their American Smooth to Kate Bush's 'Wuthering Heights' a second time against Scott Mills and Joanne Clifton in the bottom two.

Fortunately the malfunction didn't cause the 39-year-old to be voted off.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One this Saturday (November 8) at 6:30pm.

Scott Mills and his professional partner Joanne Clifton have become the fifth couple to be eliminated from this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The Radio 1 DJ departed after landing in the dance-off this week with TV presenter Alison Hammond and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec.

The couples came bottom in the Halloween Week rankings, after the judges' scores and viewer votes were combined.

Both pairs reprised their routines from last night in a bid to impress the judges, with Mills and Clifton performing their foxtrot to 'The Addams Family Theme'. They scored 21 for the routine last night (November 1).

Hammond and Skorjanec then performed their American Smooth to Kate Bush's 'Wuthering Heights', which earned them 26 points on Saturday.

Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Hammond and Skorjanec, saying: "I would like to save the couple that threw the kitchen sink at the routine - extra turns and all sorts of wafting.

Digital Spy readers have voted that Frankie Bridge gave the strongest performance during yesterday's (November 1) Strictly Come Dancing.

Bridge and her professional partner Kevin Clifton scored 36.87% of reader votes for their Tango, which also placed them first on the Strictly leaderboard with 37 points.

Mark Wright came in second place in both the leaderboard and the Digital Spy poll, with 35 points and 20.11% of votes for his Jive with Karen Hauer.

Caroline Flack, who came in fourth place in last night's show, earned 10.83% of votes, placing her third in the vote for her Samba with Pasha Kovalev.

EastEnders actor Jake Wood scored 29 for his Paso Doble with Janette Manrara, and came joint fifth on the leaderboard. Wood earned 10.10% of reader votes, leaving him in fourth place.

Digital Spy readers have decided that Caroline Flack gave the best performance during yesterday's (October 25) Strictly Come Dancing.

Flack and her professional partner Pasha Kovalev received 25.50% of votes for their Paso Doble, which scored 34 and landed them in second place last night.

This is the first time Digital Spy readers have voted Flack in first place.

EastEnders star Jake Wood got the second-highest number of votes with 16.58%. His Quickstep with Janette Manrara scored 31 from the judges and put him in fifth position on the leaderboard.

Pixie Lott, who ended up in first place in last night's show, earned 15.26% of DS votes for her 35-point Samba, putting her in third place in the reader poll.

Mark Wright's Samba landed him with 33 points, as well as 9.54% of reader votes in the poll. This places him third on the leaderboard and fourth in the poll.

Strictly Come Dancing's Alison Hammond has revealed that Lisa Riley inspired her to take part in the show.

The This Morning presenter said that the former Emmerdale star's success on the BBC show gave her the confidence to dance in front of the nation.

Asked if she had watched videos of dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec and 2013 winner Abbey Clancy performing together, Hammond replied: "Not once. If I watch anybody, I watch Lisa Riley and no-one else.

"I always watch what her tango was or her cha cha, because she's similar build to me and I like to see how she did it.

"I would probably never have done Strictly unless I'd seen Lisa Riley do it," she added. "She totally inspired me to do it. I think she's brilliant."

Wary of looking "silly", Hammond also said that she and partner Skorjanec take their training very seriously.

Pixie Lott and Trent Whiddon came top of the leaderboard this Saturday (October 25) on Week Five of Strictly Come Dancing with their samba.

Len Goodman said he was ready to get his maracas out after the pair's fun and energetic performance to 'I Yi Yi Yi Yi (I Like You Very Much)' by Edmundo Ros.

All the judges gave positive feedback, awarding the duo a score of 8,9,9,9 – a total of 35.

Bruno Tonioli called the dance a "tutti-frutti, high-camp extravaganza".

Caroline Flack and Pasha Kovalev came second, with a total of 34 points, and Mark Wright and Karen Hauer were third on the leaderboard with 33.

Alison Hammond has suggested that character is the most important element of her performances on Strictly Come Dancing.

Hammond and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec scored 22 for their foxtrot on Saturday (October 4), in which Hammond played an assertive secretary.

Speaking on It Takes Two today (October 7), Hammond said: "Every week I think that it was my best dance but the foxtrot was character-based, which I loved.

"I couldn't have done it any better."

Skorjanec agreed that Hammond inhabited her character well, saying that he disagreed with the judges' criticism of her performance.

"When I watched it back I thought it was brilliant," the dancer said. "Ballroom didn't come as naturally [as Latin] but the whole thing came together and the character was there from day one."

Hammond confirmed that she had struggled with the foxtrot for a while but added that she gained confidence just a day before the performance, saying: "I didn't get it and then suddenly,...

We're well into the swing of things on Strictly Come Dancing now! Everyone's got the tricky first dance out of the way, but the stakes are very much being raised this weekend, as viewers can now vote to save their favourites.

As it stands, Frankie and Jake are sitting pretty at the top of the leaderboard - but needing to gain a few points are Tim, Judy, Jennifer, Gregg and poor Scott Mills, who has the lowest score of 16. Alison Hammond has said she is finding it difficult to concentrate around her Strictly Come Dancing partner.

The TV presenter, who is paired up with Aljaz Skorjanec, told the dancer that his physique is distracting her.

In her rehearsal video, she said: "Wow, he's one beautiful guy, isn't he?"

She added: "I get distracted by your body, I don't want to take my eyes off you. Is there any way you can make yourself uglier?"

In an interview on It Takes Two with Zoe Ball, who laughed at Skorjanec's embarrassment, Hammond went on to admit that her partner's not completely perfect.

The Strictly Come Dancing 2014 pairings have been revealed.

During tonight's (September 7) launch show, the 15 famous faces who will be taking to the dancefloor, discovered which professional dancer would be guiding them throughout the series.

The launch show featured a special performance from Strictly Come Dancing 2013 champion Abbey Clancy and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec, as well as musical performances from 5 Seconds of Summer, Imelda May and Smokey Robinson.

Sir Bruce Forsyth also made a special return, in which he officially handed over the presenting baton to Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
