Donna Vessey

Donna Vessey is the host of the educational adventure television series, "Hittin' the Road" on PBS stations throughout the U.S. Donna has had an extensive career as an actress and producer. She trained at the Arvada Center for Performing Arts in Colorado as well as the prestigious The Second City in Chicago.
She produced main stage Comedy Theater for three years before becoming co-owner and director for a traveling improvisational mystery troupe for six years. She has more than 100 TV commercials and over 600 theatrical performances to her credit.
A former event planner, she is author of the book, "The Adventures of a Gala Guru" a comedic behind-the-scenes look at her journey as an event planner. She's passionate about lifelong learning, and her quest for knowledge is dedicated to finding the education in everything, everywhere, thus proving that education can be a true adventure.
