Adam Madrzyk is a Polish Canadian award-winning cinematographer from Toronto Canada.
He received the award for best non theatrical cinematography at the Canadian Society of Cinematographers Awards (CSCs) in 2022 for his first feature film, "The Family", which has received international acclaim, premiering at the Busan International Film Festival in Busan, South Korea and is making its way through the global film festival circuit.
His notable short form work includes film "Guion", which premiered at the Rhode Island International Film Festival in 2018, and was nominated for a total of FIVE best narrative short film awards at a number of festivals including: the Smithsonian Film Festival, the National Film Festival for Talented Youth in Seattle, the Forest City Film Festival and winning three awards at the Ryerson University Film Festival. That same year, Adam also won the Student Cinematography Award at the Canadian Society of Cinematographers Awards (CSCs).
His work on "Battleground"directed by Mark Bone & Kwesi Thomas premiered as a Vimeo Staff Pick, was selected as Vimeos best of the month, won gold at the 1.4 awards for the on the cusp short film - non fiction category and received a nomination for best cinematography in the short documentary competition at the Canadian Society of Cinematographers Awards (CSCs) in 2022.
Adam was also nominated at the CSCs in 2021 in the short documentary category again for his work on "Rising ft. Amaal", directed by Avery Stedman.
Madrzyk also has an extensive commercial and music video career - working with top brands including Nike, Microsoft, Disney, Canada Goose, OVO, Mazda, TD Bank, Ford Motors, and Best Buy and collaborating with artists such as Drake, DJ Khaled, Metro Boomin, Gunna, Amaal, Bakermat and Kiesza. He spends his time between Toronto, Los Angeles and Warsaw, Poland.
