Biography

Lacey Dorn is an actor, filmmaker and artist, working in both fine art and cinema. While an undergraduate at Stanford, Dorn staged her first performance art interventions and created her first festival films. Narrative films she has directed, written, produced and acted in have screened at festivals, including SXSW, Mill Valley and Cannes. Dorn's experiential performance/video works have been featured in solo and group shows, including at Palais de Tokyo, The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Paul Kasmin Gallery and Mana Contemporary Museum.On stage, she stars in Jay Scheib's ongoing live-cinema art performances of "Persona" and "The Silence," after Ingmar Bergman, which have run to critical acclaim across the US. Dorn and Scheib have ongoing collaborations with The MIT Center for Art, Science & Technology, including work with the Computer Science Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Lab.
