Ida Thomasdotter is a Swedish writer, filmmaker, interdisciplinary artist and creative director based in London. She has studied at Vancouver Film School, Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts and Broby Grafiska and since graduating she has freelanced in the independent film industry in both Sweden and the UK as well as written and directed several of her own short films.
In her job as creative director for transmedia start-up company Cypherpunk Studio, she is developing a couple of interactive shows as well as consulting on the creative side of a companion game and in her spare time she is working on her own passion projects: a contained feature film screenplay, an interactive YA sci-fi adventure and several book projects.
Being Swedish, Ida has an unavoidable propensity for the melancholic and bleak, but also for the dark comedic and she is compulsively drawn to the psychological. She is a member of the Writers Guild of Great Britain and Women in Film and Television. In May 2022, she was selected for Future of Film's Incubator Programme.
