Majid Panahi, writer and director, was born in 1981 Tehran. He graduated from Behandish Film School (established by Bozorgmehr Rafia (The Blind Owl)) in 2002. He made his first short film "Sara's Balloon" in 2007. He continued cinema studies at Karnameh Film School in Tehran from 2009-2011 with Abbas Kiarostami (A Taste of Cherry), where he completed his first live action short film "Chalangar" based on a story by Mr. Kiarostami. He moved to Istanbul in 2011 and worked on several Turkish, Iranian and International TV and cinema projects as a CGI artist, editor, writer and director. In 2014 he started co-writing screenplays with Patrick W. Graham, Canadian writer (Afghan Luke) and producer. Game Birds (2021) is his directorial debut. Game Birds is co-written by Patrick W. Graham and shot in Istanbul.
