Jacek Holdanowicz

Raised in Edinburgh, the son of Mieczyslaw and Wanda Holdanowicz. Attended Orwell (Normal) School and Scotus Academy. Took his first steps on the stage, and developed an interest in photography. Later the family moved to London. Attended Divine Mercy College and Selborne County Secondary School. Continued his interest in photography, and for several years acted in amateur productions. After a long career in H.M. Customs and Excise, HM Revenue & Customs and the UK Border Agency enrolled in a one-year practical filmmaking course at the Met Film School in London. The course included participation in a number of filmmaking exercises in a variety of crew roles including director. Before entering the film industry attended a 16mm. and 35mm. camera familiarisation course at the National Film and Television School. Since then gained a Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations at Hackney Community College.
