Cathryn Dylan Ortiz is a Mexican American actress who was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA by her mother, Actress Ana Alicia Ortiz, and father, Producer Gary R. Benz. Cathryn grew up on the stage and the soccer field. She received her BFA in Acting from Carnegie Mellon's School of Drama where she was awarded Excellence in Acting by the Kennedy Center. Since graduating college, Cathryn can be seen on hit TV shows such as "Grey's Anatomy", "Law and Order: SVU", and "Ray Donovan". In 2018, Cathryn shot a pilot for Fox 21 and Hulu based on Brett Easton Ellis's debut novel, "Less Than Zero," and has since made her LA stage debut at the Odyssey Theatre, originating the role of Mary Jo Kopechne in Peter Lefcourt's world premiere of "The Death and Life of Mary Jo Kopechne." Cathryn is committed to her mission to help mental health, specially in youth, and is in development of a Unt. feature film inspired by Amy Challengers article; "Living and Dying on TikTok."
