Ricardo Laganaro is an Emmy® and Venice Film Festival award-winning Brazilian director. His most recent piece, "The Line", has received several awards globally, including "Best VR Experience" at the 76th Venice Film Festival and a Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Innovation in Interactive Media. Ricardo entered the immersive world in 2013, creating a full-dome experience for the Museum of Tomorrow, in Rio. He directed 360º videos that together have over 60 million views and created the VR documentary "Step to the Line", premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and selected for over 30 other festivals globally. He also directed commercials, music videos, and documentaries, winning one Award at the Brazilian MTV's VMA.
Before starting directing his own pieces, Ricardo worked at O2 Filmes, the biggest production company in Brazil, combining his experience on the film set with his technical knowledge of post-production as the head of the 3D department and VFX Supervisor. He has participated in the production of commercials, special projects, TV series, and Brazilian feature films, besides international projects such as "360" directed by Fernando Meirelles.
