- Nancy Pop is a Romanian actress, model, and film director based in New York.
She was born in Transylvania and grew up between Pennsylvania and Arkansas before moving to New York City to attend Marymount Manhattan College, where she received her BA in Theatre Performance and Playwriting.
Throughout her childhood Pop studied the piano, violin, and viola in addition to competing on her high school's forensics team, winning numerous awards in duet improvisation, poetry, prose, character monologues, and more. She was a semi finalist in the Miss New York USA pageant where she placed Top 21 out of over 150 contestants. She has been featured in both digital and print work and recently for Amika's global "Bust Your Brass" Sephora campaign.
In 2018 she directed award-winning feature film "Poets Are The Destroyers", starring Synead and now streaming on RevryTV. In 2021 she created the "1221 Film Challenge" where she aimed to complete one short film every month that year. By the end of 2021 she completed principal photography on 18 shorts and 1 feature film, several of which have screened at Dances With Films, Chelsea Film Festival, Soho International Film Festival, Lighthouse Film Festival, and more, including award-winning short films "Sunscreen", "Yes, Mother!", and "New Boo".
Notable voiceover credits include Tribeca 2022 Audio Selection "Burning Gotham" where she voices the feisty Russian assassin Sarina Zubrov, in addition to "And Then I Sing" a dramatized retelling of Frank Sinatra's life where she voices Nancy Sinatra Sr; both radio dramas directed by longtime collaborator James Scully.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Nancy Pop
