Born and raised in the historical town Tainan, Taiwan, Illas reveals her interest of painting and writing in very early age.
Her mother took her to the the movie theatre every Wednesday since she was 5.
She moved to Taipei, Taiwan at the age of 18 to attend TNUA, majored in theatre technology and start her career in distribution and documentary company as graphic designer and line producer.
She started to design for music video and short film in 2011 and soon, commercial and long feature. After years experience, she went to Tokyo, Japan to learn tattoo for a short break, and accidentally married the set decorator which she met in the film "Silence". Currently lives in Kyoto, Japan.
Known to be weird Renaissance believer, Illas is, as art director, designer, and line producer, tried many occupations (writer, sound, lighting, grip, etc) in different projects. It is she who believed that "it never hurts to learn more". In short, she is open for anything but still working on the way to be experts.
