Mallika Prasad

Mallika Prasad Sinha is an Indian actress who predominantly works in TV series and films. She was born in Bangalore and completed Masters in Performance Making at Goldsmiths, London. Later, she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in acting from the National School of Drama, Delhi.
The versatile artist made her debut in Kanooru Heggadithi in 1999. In the following year, she featured in Kanoor Ki Thakurani. In 2001, she played the lead role in Guptagamini. In 2002, she appeared in Devi Ahilya Bai, portraying the main character.
Simultaneously, Mallika was donning the role of associate director of 2Streams Media Productions, producing 250 episodes for award-winning series Garva. In 2014, she appeared in Magha Mayuri as the lead actress. In 2017, she played the lead role in Nagakanikke, which won the award for best Kannada serial.
Mallika played the role of Amrita's mother in Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat in 2022. In the following year, the maverick actor portrayed the character of Radha Rajesh in Aspirants in the year 2023.
She featured in Killer Soup in 2024, playing the role of Zubeida. On the back of her terrific performances, Mallika received a decent recognition and accolades in the entertainment industry.
She has impressed the audiences by donning multiple hats for different roles. Owing to this, she has won several awards till date, including the Infallibles Award - Best Show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for Hidden in Plain Sight 2021.
Mallika is also the recipient of Charles Wallace India Trust Scholars' Research Grant 2014 for Archival Research in the India Office. She was also honored with Art Think South Asia Fellowship for Arts Management. The versatile artist also won the prestigious National Award at Mahindra Excellence at Theatre Awards Festival in 2006.
