Osahon Tongo is an Emmy Award-winning director and producer based in Los Angeles. He is known for his work as a director/producer on the industry-leading NFL360, Inside The NFL, A Football Life, HBO's Hard Knocks, and Peyton's Places. Tongo was the Second Unit Director and Director's assistant on Netflix's They Cloned Tyrone. Tongo was staff writer on BET's Birth Of Cool.
Tongo is a Ryan Murphy Half Foundation Directing Fellow, an Annenberg Foundation Fellow, and an NFL Films Fellow. Tongo's experience extends beyond traditional formats into virtual reality and museum installations. He produced a virtual reality series on Black Wall Street called "Greenwood Avenue VR." His work with the Question Bridge installation has been in the African American Smithsonian Museum.
Tongo earned an MFA from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts film production program and a BS in Management from Georgia Tech, where he was a defensive end on the ACC Champion football team. He is a Nigerian-American raised in Naperville, Illinois.
