When I was about nine or ten, I built a studio in my basement out of inflatable couches and used sheets to lock off my section of the basement as curtains. The sign I hung on it said "Alyssa's Studio." It was my dream to make music before I ever knew it was a dream. I was just doing what I wanted, what made me happy. I would sit down there for hours and write songs on paper.
