Devarajan Varadarajan, known professionally as Dev RV, is a Singaporean actor, singer, writer, and director. He was born in Singapore.
Dev began his acting career in the arts as a theater actor in 1997. He has since appeared in numerous stage productions, including "Motcham," and "Mama Drama," by Theatre of Fire, Directed by Elangovan. He has also hosted numerous events, including award shows, corporate functions, and charity galas.
In addition to his work in theater, Dev is also a talented singer. He has been singing since he was a child, and he has performed at numerous concerts and events. He was also a runner-up in the Indian Talent Competition "Vasantham Star" in both 2005 and 2007 on Mediacorp Vasantham, Singapore.
While acting in television dramas from 2005, Dev's television career took off in 2010, when he was cast in the popular English series "Point of Entry." He played one of the leads in the series for four seasons, and he won the award for "Highly Commended, Best Actor in a Supporting Role" in 2012 at the Asian Television Awards.
In 2020, Dev starred as the antagonist, "Arjun" in the two seasons of the popular Tamil series "Naam" on Netflix. The series was produced by 360 Entertainment in Singapore and racked up millions of views on YouTube.
Dev is also a talented writer and director. He began writing in 2010, and he directed his first short film, "Emily," in 2013. In 2015, he directed one of the highest rated Malay Tele-Films, "Nur Ainun," a 2 hour film about a mother's love and sacrifice in Singapore for Mediacorp Suria.
Dev is an avid reader and enjoys Crime, Thriller and Comedy genres. He is also a huge supporter of Liverpool Football Club and engages in sporting activities regularly.
