Paul Kazee co-founded Subway Cinema, a NYC organization specializing in the presentation of popular Asian cinema. With Subway Cinema, Kazee also co-founded the New York Asian Film Festival, and the New York Korean Film Festival. Kazee also co-founded Dead 'Til Dawn Drive-In, an annual festival of horror and cult films at the Hi-Way Drive-In (Coxsackie, NY) and It Came From Schenectady, a long-running film series in Schenectady, NY focusing on cult and fringe cinema.
From Lansing, Michigan, Paul Kazee attended NYC's New York University, and subsequently settled in Schenectady, NY. In 1990 he was an invited guest of the "Court Circuit Festival Pour Les Nouveau Cineastes" (Paris, France), where his film "...And You're So Special?" was screened. "...And You're So Special? was also screened at the Chicago International Film Festival (1991), as well as on television in France (Canal Plus, 1991-92) and in Spain (Televisión Española, 1991-92).
