Toni Henderson-Mayers is a graduate of the nation's first performing arts high school where she studied Theater. She performed and directed for many Equity stages such as: Centenary Stage Company, Mill Hill Playhouse and American Stage Company. She has performed in many off-Broadway productions, industrials, student films and showcases. She started her own theater company, Alphabet Theater Workshop in NJ and later PA and NC and also owns North Star Stage & Screen, North Star TV and Word Therapy Publishing.
Toni made her directorial debut on Broadway at the United Solo Festival for the play, The Cycle and served as Crowd Producer for Never Settle Show hosted by Mario Armstrong which won an Emmy. Toni is the winner of an ACHI Magazine Award - People's Choice, Best Actress, Excellence in Theater & Film, Inspire Award - Influencer of the Year, Indie Author Legacy Award Finalist and Audience Award Nominee. She has a MFA in Theater Arts, MBA and MA in Counseling.
Toni worked previously as Cultural Sensitivity Consultant for the productions of & Juliet, You Can Unmute and Coloring Along The Lines. Toni continues to direct, act and produce for TV and theatre. She is an active member of SAG/AFTRA and Actor's Equity Associations; stage and screen unions.
She is also the author of the popular book, Wise Courtship which helps the reader look for the right person in their romantic relationships.
Toni portrays Lois in the sitcom, Hanging With the Taylors and is married to actor and playwright Brian McClure Mayers and had two sons.
