Ged Purvis was born in Liverpool.
He attended school at John Hamilton comprehensive and it was there it was discovered he had a passion for acting but never carried it on after he had left the school. Then years later In the 90's he attended drama school in Bank field college, where he had shown promise; but after that he never followed his intentions of continuing a life in drama.
It was not till 2012 that he reentered the acting world he did this by joining a casting site were his main aim was to just be a film or T.v. extra, but he was quickly approached by a Manchester short film crew called Silver touch Pictures. They asked him to appear in their film short THE STAIN and was given a speaking part and for his first ever film role as the ruthless gangster Worth ( and although he lacked years of experience ) he was commended how natural he was and it was said he was very easy to work with and gave what the director wanted.
As the years went on he has appeared in many film shorts, music videos, corporate commercials, radio plays and even did a stint appearing as a mad man in the scare walk through experience SCREAM FACTORY in Redcar and got himself quite known in the North East acting community.
Although because of his large frame he became typecast as the villain, thug or gangster or Psychotic or even monster characters but he soon proved himself to be a very emotive actor and he began to get more meaningful roles such as a grieving father, a sympathetic priest, a traumatised farmer and even a saddened clown. But he enjoys any new challenges and always tries to give what the film makers need and attempts to make it an enjoyable experience overall for everyone he is involved with.
