Spent years in Boston working in Barbara Lynch restaurants, first at Stir as an instructor and then at Menton as chef de cuisine. Lynch eventually convinced Kish to compete on Top Chef (2006), which Kish would go on to win.
Attended Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago, earning an A.A. in culinary arts in 2005.
She worked as a model while in high school. She did not like it.
Born in South Korea, she was adopted by a Michigan family when she was four months old.
