Justin Nelson is a director, writer, and producer. He resides in Los Angeles by way of a small town in Massachusetts. Always drawn towards darker material it's no surprise most of his success has come in the horror genre. The short film 'Thing in the Dark" helped plant roots in the genre. That was followed up by the short film "Check." which did well in the Festival Circuit, scoring wins in the Austin After Dark Film Festival and Oregon Screams Horror Film Festival, as well as Official Selections into the Telluride Horror Show, Nightmares Film Festival, Mile High Horror Film Festival , The Windy City Horrorama Film Festival and many others.
When not working on his own projects Justin has lends his directing and storytelling skills to musicians having directed several music videos for a variety of bands and artists such as Divided Heaven and Tiny Stills.
The real-life experiences, those few moments where reality has infused with fantasy and the improbable becomes obtainable is where his creativity wells from. Filmmaking for him is the magic of sharing a vision that stemmed from somewhere in the depths of his mind and turning it into something he can relive with people over and over again.
