Tammi Rogers is from Baltimore, MD and was born to entertain. Her love for the arts began early in life when she would accompany her mother to stage plays and concerts, at the tender age of 3 years old. Her God-given natural ability to command attention shines onstage and backstage. She wears many hats -- as an actor, director, acting coach, producer, script supervisor, props manager, singer, and speaker (to name a few). In 2018, she became the Resident Acting Coach for The Actors Academy Baltimore, an acting group that offers classes to actors in the D.C./Maryland/Virginia (DMV) area. This versatile award-winning performer has been acting for 35+ years and has appeared in many local community stage plays and independent films. She has received numerous Acting awards, most recently the World Music & Independent Film Festival (WMIFF) Top 20 DMV Actors & Actresses 2023; and the 2023 Best Actress Of The Year Award and Best Acting Coach of the Year Award at the 35th Annual Newsome Awards.
She finally made her debut at the world-famous Arena Players, Inc. in Baltimore, MD - March 2016 in the stage play, Witness for the Prosecution. She has graced the stage with and understudied for the following powerhouse actresses/singers - Shirley Murdock and D'atra Hicks, in Crystal L. Bass' Ain't No Love Like A Mother's Love stage play.
She thanks Roosevelt Jackson [Roosevelt Entertainment] for introducing her to the world of acting in cinema by casting her in her first feature-length film, Life According to Rasheada. She also thanks Ursula V. Battle [Battle Stage Plays] for allowing her to perform in several Battle Stage Plays, and co-directing two of the stage plays, 7 Days and A Christmas Miracle.
After working with her acting coach, Stephen Mitchell of Cine-Paris Productions, she has starred in her own one-woman show (The Interloper - which was available on Amazon Prime Video) and has been featured in several other films written by him, including her TV series, Ask Aunt Lolly. With a humbled heart and spirit, she thanks God for allowing her to draw people to Christ through drama.
