Alyssa Thordarson

Half-Icelandic and half-American, Alyssa grew up in the American Midwest and studied acting at The Lee Strasberg Institute in New York City and at Columbia College Chicago. For over a decade she has worked as an actor in commercials, television, and independent film. Her short films, After (A Love Story), which she wrote, produced and acted in, and Paper Planes, her directorial debut, each played dozens of festivals, including Academy Award qualifiers, and won numerous awards throughout their time on the circuit. She is slated direct and produce two short films in 2024 as well as make her feature debut as a writer-director. While she is represented nationally and works in Los Angeles and all over the United States, the Midwest is her artistic home.
