Carley Armstrong

Born and raised in the North East of England, Carley attained a First-Class Degree in Media Production: Television, Radio and Film, along with many Drama related credentials. She is a BAFTA connect Producer, an RTS Nominated Rising Star Producer, participated in the BFI Creative Producer Lab that aims to discover and develop the next generation of producing talent in film, a HETV chosen 50, awarded The University of Sunderland Alumni Achiever of the Year Award and an NFTS Feature Film Lab Alumni. Carley has worked in Theatre, Film and Television from childhood, performing in many on stage productions, to pursuing her aspirations in making Drama by working her way up through the ranks from runner to freelance script supervisor / script editor and now into writing and producing.
Carley has worked on Films and High End TV Drama's for companies such as Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Netflix, World Productions, Calamity Films, It's All Made up Productions, Warp Films, DNA Films and Quaystreet Productions to name a few and feature films , for Warner Bros, Sony and Paramount, whilst continuing to build on her aspirations in producing and writing alongside.
Carley is committed to Northern stories and voices and hopes to champion the underrepresented working-class background in which she originates, through compelling and emotive storytelling that tackles social and political issues and shines light on parts of the North that haven't been seen before.
At present Carley has three films on the festival circuit, is attached to two feature films and is shadow producing on a high end drama. She has two television projects in development.
She is also working with various high-end production companies in scripts, whilst actively seeking opportunities in writing and producing.
