Alan started working in film, initially as a background actor. Finding an agent and taking a variety of acting courses eventually led to booking commercials, and minor roles in TV, short & indie films. More recently, Alan was cast in a principal role on FOX TV's The Exorcist as a French-speaking Belgian Priest.
Alan was born in southern Ontario and spent his formative years in Montréal before obtaining his BSc & MSc (Biology) in Nova Scotia. After graduation, marine biology took him to the Caribbean and the Canadian Arctic, then he spent 2 years working in Papua New Guinea as the Curator of the Natural History Section of the National Museum & Art Gallery in Port Moresby. After long career as an environmental scientist, manager and senior government advisor, Alan began his acting career.
