Rasto Boros

Rastislav Boros is a Slovak screenwriter, director, and producer committed to producing his own auteur films. He graduated in screenwriting at the Film and TV Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (VSMU) in Bratislava. He lectures at the faculty's Department of Directing Fiction. Boros has a strong literary background, having published short stories in numerous literary magazines. His debut novel Zdedena dedina ("Ancestral Village") received Ivan Krasko Prize of the Slovak Literary Fund in 2001. As a screenwriter, he has worked with several Slovak and Czech broadcasters on TV films and series. Since 2010, he has focused exclusively on writing and directing his own auteur works. In 2015, his debut feature Stanko (AH production, SK) was released; in 2022 he followed with Goldilocks And The Glorious Losers (Lipstick, SK, i/o post, CZ), which he wrote, directed and produced. The Sluggard Clan (Lipstick, SK, i/o post, CZ, san cinema, DE) is his third feature film. In 2014, he founded film production company Lipstick.
