Christopher Farrell was born in Melbourne, Australia where he developed a strong passion for acting at an early age. After working on the HBO series The Pacific in his early twenties he moved to London to continue acting training. He returned to Melbourne for work in both film and theatre. Christopher is best known for his recurring role as Dr Rob Carson on the Australian series Neighbours, his lead role as Ryan in independent feature film A Thousand Moments Later and guest roles on Australian television such as Halifax, Rostered On, Utopia and Five Bedrooms. In 2017 Christopher performed on stage as Bruce Springsteen in the premier of award winning writer Gabriel Bergmoser's play Springsteen. He later reprised the role as Bruce Springsteen for the radio play. He has been quoted as being extremely grateful to cinematographer Andrew Lesnie ACS ASC and Director Gary Conway for lessons learned during their time together on set in Melbourne. With over fifteen years of experience in the film and television industry, Chris has taken on a diverse range of roles in addition to acting, including producer, associate producer, story consultant, script editor and other key positions. During the height of the pandemic he assisted a number of productions with infection control procedures to assist with COVID-19 safe filming. Known for his ability to collaborate effortlessly with a deep understanding of the filmmaking process, Chris brings a hands-on approach and a dedication to storytelling that is highly regarded across the industry.
