Omer Perelman Striks

Omer Perelman Striks is a professional theater, film and TV actor. He graduated with honors from the prestigious Thelma Yellin Performing Arts Highschool where he majored in theater. At 18, he landed his first lead roles in two teen drama shows aired on YES and Disney Israel, and was soon after cast in several supporting roles in feature films.
Omer then completed his professional training at the acclaimed Performing Arts Studio in Tel Aviv founded by Yoram Lowenstein. While still a student, he was cast as a lead in 'Shababnikim' (The New Black), Israeli premium broadcaster's HOT most watched show to date. In 'Shababnikim', Omer plays a young Orthodox Yeshiva student. The show's 3rd season is set to air in 2023.
In 2018, Omer won Best Actor for his performance at the Haifa International Children's Theater Festival. In 2019, he acted in Incitement, a feature film directed by Yaron Zilberman (A Late Quartet) which premiered at TIFF and won Best Picture at the 2019 Israeli Academy Awards. Later that year, Omer was cast in Eran Kolirin's (The Band's Visit) upcoming feature film. He also played a lead in My Mika, a musical at Habima (Israel's National Theatre). The production, which ran for two full years, was directed by Moshe Kepten, one of Israel's leading theater directors (who also directed the 2019 Eurovision in Tel Aviv).
In 2020,Omer played one of the leads in Valley of Tears (HBO Max/KAN), Israel's biggest budget TV series to date, helmed by Zilberman and co-created by Ron Leshem (Euphoria). Omer portrayed Kaspi, a Tank Sergeant who experiences severe PTSD in the first days of the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Valley of Tears became an Israeli sensation, viewed by roughly 50% of Israel's adult population and sold to dozens of territories across the world. Later in 2020, Omer acted in the hit Israeli TV drama series 'Manayek' (Rats) which also aired on KAN (Israel's Broadcasting Corporation). He played also in the second season of the show that aired lately.
In 2021, Omer played the lead in the feature film The Swimmer, directed by Adam Kalderon and set to premiere on the festival circuit. In it, Omer plays the title role, a 19 year old professional swimmer training to represent Israel in the Olympics while struggling to come to terms with his sexuality. Omer won the Anat Pirchi award for best Actor in Jerusalem Film Festival for his performance in The Swimmer.
In 2022 Omer acted in a SKY and CBS International production called - "Munich Games"- That was aired in 2022 all over Europe.
