Developed by Tyler Perry, Beauty in Black sees a stripper's life overturned when she comes into contact with a dysfunctional family behind a cosmetics legacy, uncovering a trafficking scheme in the process.

Included in that cast is 30-year-old Tamera "Tee" Kissen, playing the role of Body.

Tyler Perry’s forthcoming Netflix series Beauty in Black has found its central cast members — and several of them have already paid a visit to the Perry-verse.

Beauty in Black, which will span 16 hour-long episodes in its first season, centers on two women leading very different lives: While Kimmie is struggling to make a living after her mother kicked her out, Mallory is running a successful business, and the two find themselves entangled in each other’s lives.

Comedian, actress, influencer, model, and entrepreneur Tamera Kissen was recently seen in the House Party reboot and the Tubi release You’re Not Alone. When the White Men Can’t Jump remake reaches the Hulu streaming service on May 19th, she’ll be seen in that film as well. And now Deadline reports that Kissen stars in the vampire horror film Fanged, which recently wrapped production in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kissen in joined in the Fanged cast by Selena Anduze (WandaVision), Tyler Abron (Lace), Pauline Brown (King Bachelor’s Pad), newcomer Mataya Sweeting, Ravyn Rochelle (Good Intentions), Ashley Nocera (King Bachelor’s Pad), and Kylie Jordan (The Things We Survive: Amber Brown).

Tamera “Tee” Kissen (White Men Can’t Jump) has signed on to play a vampire in the upcoming movie Fanged from Empyrean Pictures and Rebel Maverick, Deadline reports today.

According to the site, Tamera Kissen will be playing the film’s lead vampire.

“The film’s plot follows a group of young vampires celebrating the “Blood Day” of one of their own, Jasmine. After feasting on a local party’s favor during the celebrations, they find themselves in a deadly situation: They are trapped by an invisible barrier that forms out of nowhere and burns them every time they try to escape.

“Trying their best not to panic, they ration the remaining blood they have collected. But it becomes clear that if they do not feed soon, they will all perish. As the days wear on and their chances of escape diminish, the vampires unleash the true monsters inside them all.

Christopher B. Stokes, the directors of such films as House Party 4, You Got Served, Somebody Help Me, Somebody Help Me 2, The Stepmother, and The Stepmother 2, is about to send four more movies out into the world over the course of just three months – and it’s all thanks to the Tubi streaming service. Continuing to get into original programming (previous Tubi originals include the Terror Train remake and its sequel), Tubi has teamed up with Footage Films to bring four “Black cinema thrillers” to their service. Stokes has directed all four of the movies and wrote the scripts for each one with Marques Houston.

Tubi has joined forces with Footage Films to premiere four original Black-led thrillers, Variety lets us know this week, each of them directed by Christopher B. Stokes (The Stepmother).

The four films coming soon to Tubi are titled The Assistant, Best Friend, You’re Not Alone and No Way Out, and you can learn more about each of them over on Variety.

Tubi is set to launch four new original Black cinema thrillers from Footage Films: “The Assistant,” “Best Friend,” “You’re Not Alone” and “No Way Out.”

The four upcoming thrillers are directed by Christopher B. Stokes from scripts the filmmaker co-wrote with Marques Houston. Stokes and Houston also serve as executive producers on the films, with Footage Films president Juanita Stokes as producer. Tubi has previously worked with Footage Films on several original films, including “The Stepmother” and “The Stepmother 2.”

Per the logline, “The Assistant” follows doctor Raven Fields (Erica Mena) who “finds herself drowning in work and looks to hire an assistant to help with her day-to-day. Exclusive: Tamera Kissen has signed on for New Line’s reimagining of House Party.

She joins previously announced cast members Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Tosin Cole, Karen Obilom, DC Young Fly, Shakira Ja’nai Paye, Andrew Santino and Bill Bellamy in the film, which The SpringHill Company is producing for HBO Max.

The original 1990 comedy watched as high schooler Christopher (Christopher “Kid” Reid) snuck out to his friend Peter’s (Christopher “Play” Martin) house party, for a wild night of music and fun.

Pic was a surprise box office hit for New Line, and is credited with helping launch hip-hop into the mainstream. It also launched the career of writer/director Reginald Hudlin, and those of actors Reid, Martin, Tisha Martin-Campbell, Martin Lawrence, A.J. Johnson, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell and Full Force.
