Priscilla Wittman, sometimes known as Priscilla Wittmann, is an Mexican-American-German actress, as well as a composer. Over the past 30 years, she has worked in both film and television in the USA and in Europe.
As of July 27, 2023, she can be seen in cinemas throughout Germany and Switzerland in a supporting role in the latest Lassie film entitled, Lassie: A new Adventure (Lassie: Ein neues Abenteuer). In 2022, she completed filming the role of Josephine in the German/Finnish cinema film Sweet Disaster, which was also released in German theaters in that same year. As a participant in the Playground Film Festival in Leuven, Belgium in 2021, she performed live interacting in the film You have a future, but it looks a lot like your Past! Priscilla also appears as a Wedding Officiant Spy in the delightful comedy 36 Husbands (2019). Her performance as the older "Talli" in the psychological thriller 8 Remains (2018) was described by film critic Bobby LePire as "impressive, suggesting heartbreak and confusion with just a few lines of dialogue". In 55 Steps (Eleanor and Colette) (2017) she characterized the role of a serious nurse and had the chance to work closely alongside Hillary Swank, under the direction of the renowned Danish Academy Award-winning film and television director Bille August. Additionally, she portrayed the role of a grieving mother in the Indie film Edda Tudor (2019), and depicts a somewhat comical vendor, known as the "chicken lady" in the film To be a Soldier (2018). She also briefly appears in the popular faith and family film Providence (2016).
Priscilla completed her first CD in 2009, entitled Te Glorificare (I will Glorify your Name) where she sings a variety of her original Spanish Christian compositions. The initial tracks for the CD were recorded under the direction of the late world-renowned Mexican composer and singer, (her former father-in-law) Luis Demetrio (composer of Sway, Si Dios me Quita la Vida), and his son Luis Jr. She continues to actively work in music composition, and in 2019, she was contracted to arrange the Christmas orchestral selections for the Christmas greeting of the mayor of Duesseldorf, Germany.
She studied composition with the American classical composer Robert Xavier Rodriguez and voice with Barbara Chenault Law, a former student of Madame Paola Novikova (teacher of Nicolai Gedda and George London). Priscilla speaks fluent Spanish and German with a basic knowledge of Italian and Portuguese.
