Warning: Spoilers for Captain America (2023) #14 ahead!
Captain America has seen more than his fair share of tragedies, leading the Marvel universe from one world-shaking battle to another - but when city-destroying calamity happens on an average monthly basis, which events become memorialized, and which are just part of the day-to-day? Readers get a rare glimpse into this process as one specific disaster is revealed to have legendary status in Captain America's mind.
Captain America (2023) #14, by J. Michael Straczynski, Carlos Magno, and Espen Grundetjern, sees Captain America, Thor, and Spider-Man join forces to solve a mystery that lingers on from the destruction of the town of Broxton, Oklahoma. Captain America reveals that he took the destruction of Broxton very hard, equating the event to the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.

Galactus is widely considered one of the greatest threats to the Marvel Universe, as he devours countless planets in order to sustain himself. He's long been thought to be unstoppable, but Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four has actually come up with a method to vanquish him permanently. Mister Fantastic's most terrifying transformation in Marvel lore unveils the shocking secret to stopping Galactus once and for all.
In Fantastic Four: Antithesis by Mark Waid, Neal Adams, Mark Farmer, Laura Martin, and Joe Caramagna, the Fantastic Four face off against a foe called Antithesis who weakens Galactus by sapping his energy. The team fights Antithesis and traps him in the Negative Zone, and then they prepare to return Galactus' cosmic energy to its main host. Before they can, Reed Richards seizes Galactus' powers for himself in an unexpected twist, taking the place of the universal threat.

One of the greatest battles that I have ever seen from Iron Man and the Avengers was when they fought Bob Reynolds, also known as the Sentry. At this point in the comics, the Sentry had been taken over by his evil alter ego, the Void, who wielded all the power he needed to end the world. This scenario may sound like an amazing climactic fight, but I've seen a few fans confused about how it actually ended.
The battle against the Void in Siege #4 by Brian Michael Bendis and Olivier Coipel is massive and bloody. While characters like Captain America, Thor, Luke Cage, and Captain Marvel are all pretty heavy hitters, they absolutely paled in comparison to the Void, which is why I think some fans seem to find it odd how the Void was beaten so quickly. But after reading over the issue myself, it really wasn't quick or easy.

Iron Man proves he's no pushover, using clever tactics and technology to hold his own against Magneto in multiple fights. By staying one step ahead and preparing for every scenario, Iron Man shows why he's a formidable opponent for the master of magnetism. Despite their ongoing clashes, Magneto and Iron Man's rivalry may lead to a surprising partnership, showing mutual respect and potential growth.
Marvel fans may be surprised to learn how the biggest fight between Iron Man and Magneto went down. Considering that Magneto's specialty is manipulating metal, most readers like to assume that someone with a suit made of metal like Iron Man's would not stand a chance against the master of magnetism.
Audiences who have read the 2012 Avengers vs. X-Men series (often shortened to AvX) depicting the fight between Magneto and Iron Man know just how well Tony Stark held his own. It's also worth noting that,...
