Joz Norris was born in Chichester, and started performing comedy while studying at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, alongside comedians and writers John Kearns, Jon Brittain and Tom Moran. He has made several solo absurdist comedy/conceptual theatre shows for the Edinburgh Fringe, winning the Comedians' Choice Award for Best Show and being nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality and the Chortle Award for Best Music & Variety Act. In lockdown he adapted what would have been a new live show into a feature film which was streamed online and hailed as one of the comedy highlights of the year by both the Guardian and the Telegraph. He has written and produced several short films, including a non-broadcast TV pilot, Ed & Joz's Heist Movie, and his shorts and web series have been Official Selections and award nominees at film festivals worldwide. He has also created, written and starred in numerous original comedy shows for BBC Radio 4, and acted in various short films, feature films and TV pilots and series for broadcasters including Channel 4, BBC Three, ITV, Comedy Central and Dave.
