Shruti Reddy made her acting debut in a lead role in Tamil cinema through National award winning director Pandiraj's Marina Puratchi. The film won Best Picture award at Norway Tamil Film Festival. In an interview, she mentioned that the film is a perfect launchpad that any aspiring artiste would dream for. She learned Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi since childhood. She has trained in acting from Anupam Kher's Acting School before entering films.
