Elia Coutte is a French actress originally from Cape Verde (West Africa) based in New York City.
Elia is always ready for the next challenge. Her performances can be seen on The Purge (TV series), and most recently in the upcoming movie The Idea of You produced by Ann Hathaway. Elia also performed on numerous New York stages such as Theater for the New City, Producers Club, The Macademia Theatre of Mont Vermont and The Billie Holiday Theater.
From a very young age, she was always seen acting and dancing with a children's theater company in a Paris suburb. After graduating college with a degree in International business, she decided instead to make her passion a reality and moved by herself to New York.
She trained at the famous HB Studio (Herbert Berghof) for two years in their international intensive program for theater and classical training.
