Well, no one can accuse DC films of making boring choices anymore. James Gunn, co-president of DC Studios with Peter Safran and director of the upcoming David Corenswet-led "Superman" film, shared news of the latest DC project on X (it's still Twitter to us). What is this project? "Dynamic Duo," but it's not a Batman picture. No, this will star the first two Robins. Per James Gunn, "Over the moon excited to announce the newest DC Studios/Warner Bros Pictures Animation greenlit film for theaters, 'Dynamic Duo,' the story of Robin ... or should I say, Robins, as in Dick Grayson and Jason Todd." DC is partnering with New Orleans-based puppetry/animation studio Swaybox as part of the company's first feature. Check out Swaybox's medium-blending reel below:

After three tumultuous outings, DC's "Titans" train continues to chug along in full force. Self-proclaimed as a new beginning for the series, the fourth season moves towards a more consistent future as a superhero show and quasi-family drama. As per usual, a new location and set of villains threaten to uproot the titular superhero team. But the supernatural reigns supreme this time around, delivering a blend of magic and horror more devious than the last three seasons combined. Throw in a few daddy issues, and you have a well-received fourth season. However, that's not all. A fan-favorite character will make their return sooner rather than later.
The fourth season of "Titans" looks to turn the page on the long-standing series, but it is still not afraid to pull from the past. The origins of Mother Mayhem (Franka Potente) and Brother Blood (Joseph Morgan) are distinctly tied to the events of the very first season.

The live-action Titans series has been flawed from the get-go by presenting us with a Dick Grayson that the writers woefully misunderstand. There is no comic book creator who ever depicted Grayson in this manner so it sets the wrong tone. Its low-budget when created for the short-lived DC Universe streaming service didn’t help.
And yet, it has staggered through three seasons, with a fourth now streaming on HBO Max. Just last week, Warner Home Entertainment released Titans: The Complete Third Season on Blu-ray (no DVD or 4K).
We pick up from the end of season two with the team mourning the death of Donna Troy (Conor Leslie), they are jarred to discover that now Jason Todd (Curran Walters) has been murdered by the Joker. Titans Season 4 gets underway on HBO Max later this year.
As the promotional trail for the series begins, we have some exciting casting news.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Titus Welliver has joined the cast as Lex Luthor.
Showrunner Greg Walker told the outlet that this iteration of Lex "has a very sensitive, thoughtful approach to evil and power."
Naturally, this sudden arrival will have a big effect on Connor.
As viewers are well aware, Connor was created from Superman and Lex's DNA.
“He’s explored his Superman self, but he has not really explored his Lex self,” Walker told EW.
“What does that mean when you do?”
Connor has been struggling to come to grips with a life away from a lab, regularly being put in the firing line.
The tricky part of Lex's arrival is that he could start to gravitate towards the dark side, assuming this iteration...

Dick Grayson and his band of superheroes will have a lot more crime-fighting to do on HBO Max.
The hit drama has officially been picked up for Season 4.
The renewal became official during DC Fandome over the weekend.
The series follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find where they belong.
In season three, circumstances draw our heroes to Gotham City, where they reunite with old friends and face new threats.
The cast this season has included Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Conor Leslie, Curran Walters, Joshua Orpin, Alan Ritchson, Minka Kelly, Damaris Lewis, and Savannah Welch.
Moving the action to Gotham full-time has resulted in a much darker series, pushing all of the characters in new directions -- some to the dark side.

The Titans are more fractured than before, and it feels like we're reaching the point of no return for them as a team.
Titans Season 3 Episode 12 was about driving a bigger wedge between some of the members while simultaneously setting us up for the war to come with Jonathan Crane, aka Scarecrow.
When Dick was led to the Lazarus Pit, I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Using the mystical location twice in one season is a stretch, but it was easier to believe when he told Jason he understood what it was like to die.
Dick has been a terrible leader throughout the series, and his actions have only caused more problems. If the intent is to make us hate him, then the writers are doing a stand-up job.
It's easy to understand that leaders need to make decisions that not everyone will agree with, but come on, Dick...

This article contains Titans spoilers.
Titans Season 3 Episode 5
Ah, Titans. Ever since they cast the perfectly angsty Curran Walters to play Jason Todd we all knew it was coming to this. Titans Season 3 began with Jason being brutally murdered by the Joker in a near direct recreation of his controversial–and fan chosen–death from 1988’s A Death in the Family. While it was quickly revealed that just like in the comics Jason had actually somehow survived and taken on the mantle of the Red Hood, we had been unsure of what led him to the fairground on that fateful night.
But Titans season 3 episode 5, “Lazarus” is, as the title hints, all about Jason’s rebirth and resurrection and the man who was to blame for it… no, not the Joker or the Scarecrow but Batman himself, Bruce Wayne.

If we look back to the classic four issue comic arc that inspired this,...

This article contains major spoilers for Titans Season 3
Titans Season 2 culminated with the team defeating Deathstroke [Esai Morales], Conner/Superboy [Joshua Orpin] breaking Cadmus’ hold over him, Jason Todd/Robin [Curran Walters] leaving the fold, and Donna/Wonder Girl [Conor Leslie] dead. But, by the end of the finale, the Titans seemed more committed than ever to standing strong and continuing their war against evil.
However, when Titans returned for its third season, a tortured Hank/Hawk [Alan Ritchson] had moved on. Donna’s death hit him hard. As a result, he retired the spandex and gave up on the do-gooder game.
“Hank has always been a bit of a hothead,” Ritchson tells Den of Geek. “He is a quintessential vigilante. He wants to take justice into his hands. People like that are susceptible to the fickle winds of life. As trauma enters into the world of somebody like that,...

The third season of Titans is nearly upon us, and HBO Max have released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming season. It features Jason Todd (Curran Walters) walking through an abandoned amusement park and encountering a corpse with a distinctive grotesque grin on its face. We then hear a sinister cackle and later see a shadowy figure beating someone (possibly Todd) with a crowbar. This does seem to be a reference to the Death in the Family storyline from the comics, which found the Joker kidnapping,…...

It's been a long wait, but the premiere of Titans Season 3 is in sight.
HBO Max has released a first look teaser for the new season of the popular superhero series, which premieres on Thursday, August 12.

We love HBO Max, but multiple episodes a week takes out a lot of the fun. Having one episode to keep us on our toes for a few months works best in our book!

Jonathan Crane is now locked up in Arkham Asylum
“Titans” has found its Scarecrow. Vincent Kartheiser will play Jonathan Crane on the third season of the DC Comics series, which now streams on HBO Max.
In “Titans,” Crane is past his Scarecrow days and is locked up in Arkham Asylum. As Scarecrow, Crane terrorized Gotham City using toxins to exploit his enemies’ phobias. Cillian Murphy played the character in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight film trilogy.
Crane is part of a trio of new characters that will be introduced in the third season. Savannah Welch was cast as Barbara Gordon, who is the Gotham City Police Commissioner in “Titans,” long past her days as Batgirl. Although she has a past relationship with Dick Grayson (Brendan Thwaites), she is wary of the Titans now being in Gotham. Alicia Silverstone played a loosely based version of the character in Joel Schumacher’s “Batman & Robin.
